Eco-Max is locally produced in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, choosing Eco-max is not only an environmentally friendly option, but it also offers greater durability and an extended design life.  It’s the first of its kind available and made right here in New Zealand.

At Taranaki Mix, sustainability extends beyond our products to our processes. We make sure that leftover concrete doesn’t go to waste by repurposing it into concrete blocks. These blocks can be used for various applications, from creating retaining walls to forming solid foundations. This approach not only minimizes waste but also provides an efficient and cost-effective solution for our customers.

Additionally, any excess concrete that cannot be repurposed into blocks is sent to our concrete recycler. Through this recycling process, the concrete is broken down and reprocessed, further reducing our environmental impact. By integrating these sustainable practices, Taranaki Mix ensures that every step of our operation supports our commitment to a greener future. ECOMAX

Eco-Max high performance low carbon concrete combines Eco-Cem and Xtra-Cem (GP) cement, resulting in a superior product with 20-65 percent less carbon. Our customizable concrete mix designs allow you to balance construction aspects such as setting time, strength gain, finishing, and cost. Eco-Cem is produced using Blast Furnace Slag (BFS), a by-product of steel production commonly used overseas. We repurpose BFS into a low-carbon cement substitute that offers superior durability compared to traditional cement.

Eco-Cem is combined with our GP cement Xtra-Cem in varying proportions, tailored to your specific application. This results in a bespoke, more durable concrete product with better resistance to wear and tear, reducing your carbon footprint by up to 65%. Locally-made Eco-Cem is a thoroughly tested low-carbon cement substitute that has been years in the making. The key benefits are as follows:

Eco-RAFT

Eco-Raft is a residential raft floor system that utilizes factory-cut recycled pods and Eco-Max concrete, achieving up to 50% embodied carbon savings compared to other raft floor systems. Our Eco-Raft Slab Solution involves pre-cutting all pods in a controlled environment. These pods are made from 40% recycled materials and are 100% recyclable. This system eliminates on-site waste and minimizes the generation of airborne poly beads.

Eco-Max Concrete offers up to 50% embodied carbon savings over standard concrete and brings additional benefits such as increased durability, reduced shrinkage, and a superior finish.
